Just Jam


All those strawberries that were picked on a sunny late afternoon we cleaned, hulled, mashed, measured, cooked, skimmed and ladeled into Ball's best mason jars. A short water bath later and the hot jars were cooling on the racks.

They now line the top shelf of the canning cupboard in my parents basement, ready to make PB&J sandwiches for the next 11 months.
